Gary Langston oversees all engineering and dry utility design, infrastructure construction, parks and amenities construction and general development operations and maintenance for the Daybreak development. Gary spends significant time coordinating and resolving developments issues and concerns with South Jordan City, South Valley Sewer District, and local dry utility providers and transportation agencies. He currently serves as a developer-appointee on multiple Daybreak Sub-Home Owner Associations and is also the chairman of the Design Review Community for approving landscape plans and architectural modifications.
Gary joined the team in 2005 and has been a part of the Daybreak development nearly from its inception. Gary has more than 16 years of engineering and construction experience. As a civil engineer himself he has worked closely with other engineers, contractors and approving agencies to meet challenging project schedules while still delivering the desired place-making outcomes per the anticipated budgets. He has been a part of the majority of the projects built in Daybreak to date.
Prior to Daybreak, Gary worked for multiple civil engineering consulting firms working on large master planned community developments in California, Arizona, Colorado and Utah. Responsibilities included project management, client and approval agency interface, lot layout, road and utility design, dry utility coordination, grading and drainage, hydrology analysis, coordination with the Army Corp of Engineers, and SWPPP preparation. Gary is a licensed professional engineer in the states of California and Utah.
Gary earned his Masters of Business Administration and Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Utah. He is also a current member of the Urban Land Institute and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
